Both are personal AI agents with their own cloud computer or browser. Dots, announced by OpenAI on September 29, 2026, are always-on agents inside ChatGPT powered by GPT-6 Astra, included with Pro and Business Premium plans. Pebs are character-based agents inside Nox powered by GHI-1, included with Nox MAX and NOX 50, with a live Cloud Browser you can take over.

What Pebs is
Pebs is a personal AI agent by Nox. It works in its own Cloud Browser, runs several tasks at once, and handles long-running work. Miso and Orbit are the first two Pebs. Coming to Nox on all platforms November 1, 2026.

What ChatGPT Dots is
OpenAI describes dots as "remarkably capable, always-on agents built to handle everything." A dot has its own cloud computer and browser, learns from feedback over time, works towards your goals 24/7, and is reachable through ChatGPT, Slack or Teams, including by voice call.
Dots began rolling out on September 29, 2026 to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium users in eligible markets, with Enterprise workspaces able to try the beta when an admin enables it. The first dot is included in those plans at no extra cost, and conversations with a dot do not count toward ChatGPT usage limits.
