What is a daily AI agent?

A daily AI agent, defined

Most of what fills a day is not a big project. It is a stream of small jobs: is that place open, which of these three is cheaper, what does the return policy actually say, did the page change. A daily AI agent is built for that stream. You give it a goal in plain words, it works through the steps on the web, and it hands back a result you can use: an answer with sources, a table, a file.

How it differs from a chatbot

• A chatbot answers from what it knows or what it searched. A daily agent also operates websites: it opens pages, reads them, fills in forms and downloads files.
• A chatbot ends when the reply ends. A daily agent can repeat the job tomorrow, next week or every weekday on a schedule.
• A chatbot suggests. A daily agent does the legwork and stops for your approval before anything is sent, bought or submitted.

How it differs from a big-project agent

Some agents are pitched at long, complex projects. A daily agent is a habit rather than an event: small tasks, many times, with very little setup. That changes what matters. It should be quick to hand a task to, easy to repeat, easy to read at a glance, and safe to leave alone, which is why a character you can read while it works helps. What a daily agent should be able to do

• Search the web and read pages, then answer with source links you can check.
• Compare options and put them in a table or a downloadable file.
• Operate a website in its own browser, with a live view you can take over.
• Fill in forms up to the submit button and wait for you.
• Repeat a job daily, on weekdays, weekly or monthly, and tell you when it is done.

What it should never do without you

• Send, buy, submit or change something on your behalf without an explicit yes.
• Handle passwords, verification codes or card numbers through a chat the model can read.
• Give medical advice. A daily agent can gather clinic hours or research summaries, but it is not a doctor.
